Imho, in the long run, filtering out is not an option, because despite the filters, spam is increasing steadily. I looked up the provider in this case; it's %rwhois V-1.5:0010b0:00 rwhois.cogentco.com 38.113.169.50 network:ID:NET-2671A80015 network:Network-Name:NET-2671A80015 network:IP-Network:38.113.168.0/21 network:Org-Name:Netfirms Inc. network:Street-Address:5160 Yonge St. suite 1800 network:City:Toronto network:State:ON network:Postal-Code:M2N 6L9 network:Tech-Contact:ZC108-ARIN <http://www.iks-jena.de/cgi-bin/whois?search=ZC108-ARIN> network:Updated:2006-10-02 13:24:24 network:Updated-by:greese > Are there probably filters in place or similiar technics to prevent spam? The only solution I can think of would be, to password-protect the wiki. Does anyone know if this spam is being put in automatically, or do the people have to access the wiki manually? As I wrote above, I firmly believe that in the future a different approach towards spam is needed.
