Just submitted a patch for gamma_expose.c. This should yield about a 12x speedup with integer data types. Since this is my first time doing this, I limited the patch to just one file - to make sure I know what I'm doing (tested here - seems to apply fine). I'll do two more, later in the week, one for the color corrector and one for rendering.
