Error compiling cinepaint on GNU/Linux

Dear,

As a result of GIMP not handling 16 bits files and not supporting icc
profiles, I thought I would give a go to cinepaint. This is the result of
./configure:

GTK CinePaint Version 0.21-2


General dependencies:
   DnD support                  yes    X11/Xmu
   littleCMS                    yes    lcms 1.16
   Oyranos                      no

Plug-ins with external dependencies:
   Python plug-in:              yes    python2.4
   OpenEXR plug-in:             yes    OpenEXR 1.4.0
   Tiff plug-in:                yes
   PNG plug-in:                 yes    libpng 1.2.12
   Jpeg plug-in:                yes
   Print plug-in:               yes    Gutenprint 5.0.0
   FLTK dependent plug-ins:     yes    bracketing_to_hdr collect pdf
   Thread dependent plug-ins:   yes    icc_examin
   Flex dependent plug-ins:     yes    io

I think I've had to compile and install openexr-1.4.0 as well as
fltk-1.1.7to get to this otherwise the ./configure script would make
an
error.It doesn't look to me that oyranos is really needed since lcms is
there and seems to be doing similar, please correct me if I'm wrong. The
reason for me not installing oyranos anyway is that it fails to compile as a
result of not finding an elektra library which is installed...

The main problem is that cinepaint makes an error when running make :

Being still a fairly newcomer (8 months or so) to GNU/Linux, it is not very
easy for me to interpret those error message and to know what is going
wrong. Therefore I would really appreciate if you could indicate to me how
to interpret this error message or at least give me a hint...
