CinePaint Perl plug-in

Welcome aboard!

Everyone, this is Jeff Keys. We met years ago at a SGVLUG Linux users 
group event. Jeff works for CBS as a Perl programmer with CSTV Online, 
Inc., doing websites for over 200 college athletic departments, e.g.:

Jeff, here's the approach I suggest you take:

1. Download the latest tarballs of CinePaint and GIMP.
2. Copy the GIMP perl plug-in directory into CinePaint's plug-ins directory.
3. Add the perl module to configure.in
4. Run bootstrap.sh to create a new ./configure
5. cd to the perl plug-in directory and try make. You'll get lots of 
errors at first...
6. grep for GIMP_VERSION to see how other CinePaint plug-ins are coded 
to be code compatible with both CinePaint and GIMP.
7. Work though each make error.
8. When you have questions, ask me for help _on the list_.
9. Report your progress on the list from time to time, including what 
obstacles you've overcome, so we know where you're at.
