A self-extracting CinePaint shell script should install in one place. Thus 
a "rm -r" to the extracted directory would remove it.

Some major bugs are Gtk2 ones. I have done the porting to Gtk2 and decided 
at some point to stop the Gtk2 work. The Gtk2 bugs start in 2006/12:

I have unassigned me from open bugs to make clear they are available.

Yes, please. Gtk CinePaint has no regression tests. Script-fu or the new 
perl interface could help with such a task.
