Actually, it was pretty easy.

I used Platypus - http://www.sveinbjorn.org/platypus

Following the instructions in CVS, I compiled everything into a separate
directory.

In platypus, I included all of the requirements (hence the separate dir),
and used the following Applescript as the launcher:

#!/usr/bin/osascript

on run

set myPath to path to me as string

set AppleScript's text item delimiters to ":"
set myList to text items of myPath as list
    set myString to ""
set total to count of items in myList

    repeat with i from 2 to (total - 1)
if item i of myList is not equal to "" then
set myString to myString & ("/" & item i of myList)
        end if
    end repeat

set myString to myString & "/bin/cinepaint"
    tell application "Terminal"
        do shell script myString
    end tell

end run

Honestly, it's a pretty simple hack. I was surprised that the more brilliant
devs on this project hadn't thought about it.

Granted - I was bored out of my mind sitting in a class....
