Kai-Uwe Behrmann has been a major force in CinePaint and will be missed.
His leaving is a loss for me personally because Kai-Uwe was the one who
took on many CinePaint tasks when I was too busy myself.

Kai-Uwe has accomplished a lot in five years with CinePaint, probably
more than I know because he's never been one to say much about what he
does.

Kai-Uwe's heart is in Oyranos development, a color management library
he's created that's available on his website. Unfortunately, that's put
us at odds over my decision not to include Oyranos in Debian CinePaint.
When Oyranos is available in Debian, I'd like to use it. There's no
intention of removing Oyranos from CinePaint generally. It's a Debian
packaging decision.

I hope Kai-Uwe's absence turns out to be a temporary hiatus, that he'll
come back when he's rested and feels comfortable with the decisions I
make as project leader.
