[CinePaint] unable to compile cinepaint 0.22-1 on Debian lenny

My greetings to all maidens and guys in the list,

I'm asking for help because I cannot compile the "stable" 0.22-1 
Cinepaint release on my Debian lenny. I know: there are the .deb 
unofficial packages, and I have installed these, but I'd like to compile 
the source on my own... I've already installed all the -dev packges and 
dependencies, I've run ./configure without errors, as the script 
response  is a success. But when I "make" the source code, I get the 
following message:
