You're right. That was LS-5000, while LS-50 is a little more expensive
than V700.

I have 2.6 but didn't do any serious editing with it, but it looks like
16-bit with GEGL won't arrive before 3.0 :-/

Very nice pics and now I understand that you prefer dedicated film
scanner.

However, I'm not pro and wouldn't be able to take advantage of Nikon's
scan with my post-processing skills, so V700 might be used in the future
for some other scanning tasks as well.

Still, I'll order W. Faust's targets to have some sort of color
management.
