[CinePaint] Tablets with CinePaint

Hello,

what is the current support of CinePaint re. current tablets like Wacom
Intuos3 and similar?

Will any tablet, which is supported by X.org and/or GIMP work the same
way? (I am not sure what level of support must be available in X.org and
what is a matter of the particular application, hence sorry if my
question is stupid.) 

Any recommendations? (I plan to buy some A5 or A4 size tablet for photo
retouching mainly. No artist drawing in my case.)
