CinePaint compiled with Oyranos support was one of the first apps, which 
supported the _ICC_PROFILE atom in X. So it depends how CinePaint is 
compiled.

The jpeg loader does not see any EXIF information. Sometimes a EXIF flag
is used to specify AdobeRGB.
ICC profiles in jpeg, png and tiff should be understood.
