These are examples of terminals for directly entering commands using the keyboard. They are similar to the Microsoft "DOS Prompt" command window. This link may be of help: http://dnh500.blogspot.com/2007/05/use-xterm-in-ubuntu.html Once you find how to invoke xterm or rxvt, just enter "cinepaint &" in the terminal window and cinepaint should execute. You should see a lot of text output in the terminal window as cinepaint comes up and as various commands are executed within cinepaint itself. Look for any messages printed as cinepaint "vanishes" when you go to color management. > When I attempt to go to color management, Cinepaint vanishes. Gone > I still don't know what this means. Are you attempting to set CM preferences through the "File -> Prefrences -> Color Management" menu? Are you loading an image with an embedded profile? Please describe the steps that lead to the fault.
