I don't use ArchLinux but I know that they provide a build file which contains such things as patches applied, compile method, etc. Could you possibly provide this build file as an attachment or as a URL? Also, on the cinepaint-devel list, someone has indicated several code changes for the cinepaint source. There are no patches but maybe some users would be interested in these changes.
