[CinePaint] Instalation under OS X Tiger

I am trying to instal MacCinePaint from the 0.20-3.dmg package on PPC under 10.4.7 as I lack the knowledge to compile it myself. At the end of instalation process the instaler window state: "There were multiple errors on instalation. Please try again." No details are listed, and repeating instalation yeld the same result. The dock icon can lunch X11 with the xterm window and that's it. Any suggestions how to overcome the problem shall be greatly appreciated.
