The actual profiles must be obtained and installed by
the user in the indicated directory.

The use of a color profile depends on the source of the image
that you are processing with Cinepaint.  For example, if you
have acquired an image from a scanner you would want to use
the color profile for the particular scanner.  Similarly, an
image taken from a digital camera would require the color profile
for the particular camera.  If you are printing an image on
a certain printer, you would need the profile for that printer.
These profiles can only be obtained from the manufacturer
(Canon, Epson, HP, etc.) unless you want to make them yourself,
which, except for a scanner profile, can be difficult and
expensive.

The only kinds of color profile that can be obtained for
general use are the working-space profiles, such as sRGB
or Adobe RGB and several others.  Also, display profiles
such as sRGB and a few others can be used on a standard
monitor.  These profiles, as suggested by Ron Hickson,
can be picked up from LCMS (http://www.littlecms.com/downloads.htm).
There are also some scanner profiles linked there as well.
