Frank,
the errors and location you report remembers me at compiling gtk2 stuff.
Did you probably use a CVS snapshot? It was slightly broken in November.
CVS is now at my local state again and should work after sf servers
update.
Otherwise the gimp 1.2.5 script-fu plug-in might be of interesst. It
could, provided libcinepaint offers all appropriate API's, compile and run
better. Possibly the crashes came from the plug-in side?
I have currently no 64bit machine handy to touch directly.
