As I understand, it can build packages for you. Interessting. 
Anyway what would CinePaint need to support there? Is'nt it an outside 
program?

In CinePaint's make is now available:
make install
make DESTDIR=/home/my/path/test install
make rpm

The first two are autotools standards.
The later is provided by the maintainers.
