ATI R9250 crash.

Yep, I suffer from that crash too.

Ever since about August or so, I have not been able to do anything
related to 3D with my card.

I have no idea how to use the sysreq key. =(

Literally any OpenGL call will crash the card. running glxinfo will
crash the card.

I did an experament where I started an emerge --sync (I'm on Gentoo), in
a terminal then I switched to X and ran "glxinfo", All disk activity
stopped cold, This is a strong indication that it is taking down the
kernel too.

I've compiled everything with debugging enabled so I can gdb it all the
way up to the crash... At which point the only thing I can do is take
notes then reboot the system. =\

I am using the "vanilla sources" linux 2.6.18, and whatever Mesa3D
Gentoo is shipping with right now.


I currently have my xorg.conf set to no acceleration... Which means it
takes several seconds to scroll through a web-page in seamonkey... =P

I also have an older machine with an R128. It is working fairly well
except for two issues. 1. Whenever a stencil buffer call is made it
drops to about 0.5fps  2. Various glitches with alpha-blending.

I am trying to get OpenCroquet running. =\
