This works, but there are hw limits for the size of the area which can be rendered too. This is 2048x2048 on chips up to rv280, but r300 and up should support 2560x2560 at least IIRC, possibly more. (It might be possible maybe for the driver on old chips to hack around the 2048 limit, I think it would work if the driver would submit the rendering commands multiple times, and hack up cliprects, color/depth buffer offsets, and viewport matrix while doing so. However, I think there would be problems with color tiling (needs to be switched off), hyperz (the same), depth buffer reads / writes (probably does not work with surface translation etc.)) Roland ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
