Hi All,

Here's a weird one...

I have a Sony Vaio PCG-C1MT (aka PCG-C1MV in the US) with a:

00:0c.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY

Direct rendering with the "radeon" driver worked perfectly after following
this guide with Feisty:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=246746

but after upgrading to Gutsy and trying various combinations from the guide I'm getting no joy:

(EE) RADEON(0): Static buffer allocation failed. Disabling DRI.
(EE) RADEON(0): At least 9000 kB of video memory needed at this resolution and depth.

The resolution is 1280x600x16... which WAS working fine under Feisty,
this is an 8MB Radeon that had no problem with DRI before.

Also, my ALi5451 audio now plays very wobbly, warbly sound where it used to be perfect under Feisty:

00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: ALi Corporation M5451 PCI AC-Link Controller Audio Device (rev 02)

Any thoughts on why the static buffer allocation is now failing ?

I'm happy to provide more infor if required.

Cheers,

Doug
