The drm and the ddx should have all of the known XPRESS 220 chips. you'll need ati/drm/mesa from git for it to work properly. If your ddx (xf86-video-ati) is too old, you'll have to force the dri on: Option "DRI" "TRUE" in the device section of your config. If you still have problems, post your xorg log and config.
