new project haning or just taking its time to rip?

05312007 1753 GMT-6 DST

I installed dvd::rip today and started at 16:04 with a new project. Im
backing up one of my dvds. Almost exactly an hour later at 17:04 I
noticed that my CPU dropped off. Looking at the log it says "Job - 'Rip
- title #1' finished, Process title #1: 20% done.

Looking at faq it says that if something hangs is might be related to
NPTL. However, it also says in the documentation that it could take 20
or 30 minutes when ripping a movie over an hour long.

I dont know if this is just processing slow if its stuck. 
I would sure appreciate some help.
