Again: Transcode already ripped vobs on my hd

My problem: I have several ripped movies (.vob files) that I would like to
transcode (to .avi), but there are no corresponding .rip files, nor any
backup .rip files.
I don't find an option for this in the GUI and in the documentation.

Therefore my question is: Can dvd::rip transcode already ripped .vobs
without the corresponding .rip file?
