transcode details ..

Hi all,

dvd::rip has been a pleasure to rip DVD's with, however I've purchased a 
PS3 for media playback and avi's created with dvd::rip works like a 
dream. Unfortunately not all my dat is ripped with dvd:rip, I used a 
number of other applications before this.

I'm basically trying to find out what settings dvd::rip use when 
transcoding so I can create a conversion script for my avi file sthat 
don't work.

any ideas where to look ?
