The dvd is not mounted, and dvdrip still does not return the TOC after clicking Read VD table of contents. $ mount /dev/sda2 on / type ext3 (rw) proc on /proc type proc (rw) sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620) tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw) none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw) I have rar-3.7.0 and fping-2.4b2-7 installed, but clicking on Debug->Check dependencies, it lists rar as not OK (though it does say it is installed, but also says the maximum version supported is 2.99, which I have not found. Perhaps someone could send me a link to the source of rar-9.99). It lists fping as Not installed, which is not correct. $ rpm -qa | grep fping fping-2.4b2-7.fc6 $ type fping fping is a tracked alias for /usr/sbin/fping $ echo $PATH /sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/lib64/schilly/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/libexec:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/bin:/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/lib64/ccache So, /usr/sbin/fping is in the PATH, so why does dvdrip say it is not installed? Sorry to mix so many questions with the fundamental problem I am having, namely, reading of TOC is not working. Are there any developers on this thread who could give advice on how to debug this problem?
