I followed your instructions completely.
All tests PASS, even the test where I inserted
use Glib;
use AnyEvent;
at line 8 of file t/02.parallel.t
Output of make test before insertion:
PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /usr/bin/perl "-MExtUtils::Command::MM" "-e" "test_harness(0, 'blib/lib', 'blib/arch')" t/*.t
t/01.use.........ok
t/02.parallel....1/14 Useless use of a variable in void context at (eval 12) line 2.

All tests successful.
Files=2, Tests=15, 5 wallclock secs ( 0.08 usr 0.02 sys + 0.55 cusr 0.23 csys = 0.88 CPU)
Result: PASS
