I thought you were not able to rip the film completly?! As your pictures
shows me that the dvd's you tried did not rip comlete I thought your
problem is not transcode... Now for my understanding; Can you rip or
not? Or do you have a transcode problem?

That output is similar to my output here...

The frame should be grabed automaticly... If the film is completly
ripped... Are you sure that the process bar on the ripping tab is 100%
ready before you try to transcode the film?

Just a question: Did you try dvdrip as root? Maybe you can test it to
avoid right problems...
