RE:transcode and tccat are hanging

Matthias,

I had this problem with  Ubuntu 8.04 with a fresh install.

turns out that the disc I was trying to use was encrypted and my system
didnt have the css libraries..

after I installed them it ripped and encoded just fine.

I have upgraded to 0.98.11 DVD::rip and transcode 1.1.5  and ffmpeg svn
something I dont remember

and Updated the OS to Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid)

and managed to break h264, which was not cool cuz the only reason I
upgraded was to fix the cluster transcode issue.

I feel that I might have got the right packages installed and will let
everyone know if it got it to work correctly on 10.04 Ubuntu.
