dvd::rip does not create any DVD compatible file structure, it
transcodes the DVD's MPEG2 streams to (eg) MPEG4 or H264 and creates avi
or ogm files at the end. You can create DVD compatible MPEG2 files as
well, but dvd::rip does this by transcoding, so with quality loss. You
could use dvd::rip to dump the raw VOB files (containing all audio and
subtitles) to disk and then manually use a DVD creating tool to build
two DVD5 discs out of them.
