 From a very quick look online and a google translation of this page 
http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/endlich:-sms-mit-skype/ they might be 
saying that it has to run as root, not sure if that's skype or freevo or 
both in this case but it might be worth a try. Then again I could have 
got that all wrong from the translation. Maybe someone can translate?
