Currently the WIP popcorn just has an MPlayer backend.  I definitely
recommend that future work be done in WIP/popcorn because it's a lot
cleaner.

I don't think it's that useless.  I have some code around to do a TV
guide webserver which I mainly use because my cable box's guide is
horrid crap, but I could integrate it with tvserver pretty easily I
think.

Would at least be a way to test it without requiring support in Freevo
itself.
