Hello to all. I've been having a nightmare trying to solve the spdif out on my soundcard (Nvidia CK804). I managed to find that I get SPDIF sound when the control IEC958 (as alsamixer names it) is OFF. The problem is, everytime an application tries to use the digital device (mplayer -ao alsa:device=hw=0.2), it is turned back to On again, so I get no sound until I turn it OFF again. God knows, I've tried every possibility -up to date kernel and/or drivers). At MythTV forums I found that a solution could be to launch a script just after mplayer -or whatever applicaction- accesses the sound device, so I'd like to know if this could be applied to freevo (as I have no idea of python scripting and no intention to move to mythtv). Thanks in advance.
