Do you think it is now time to try provide a competitive solution against
microsoft in area of 3D human interfaces? Too late!

While m$ was making *money* with W3.11 and W95 (these last ten years)
the free software community was wasting lot of effort in just
reproducing its environment. I think this gave m$ lots of time
for working on technologies of the futur.

I would not be surprised to see more people in two years looking at
Fresco as a m$ alternative. See:

If what they are talking about really happens it will be exactly when
XFree/KDE become Windows good competitors... then breaking the
compitition.

I think the community should stop wasting time and concentrate on
alternative technologies, not alternative coding/license styles.
