I have not yet heared of Syllable, but we try to be highly portable, so given that syllable is a modern OS that has some way to get to the Graphics hardware, can deliver events from input devices and supports threading it should be possible to port Fresco over without too much hassle (we hope;-) We will not do that right now though: We do have enough on our plate so we just do not have the manpower to support such a rather exotic OS. There is enough to do to have Fresco run on Linux! We are allways willing to cooperate of course, so if someone would port Fresco to Syllable (or any other OS) we will try to help as much as possible. <snip> > So think about my proposal and tell me your oppinion! Lets be frank: There are lots of revolutionary OSes around and at least as many groundbreaking GUI environments. Let's all try to make a good product with clean interfaces, lets talk about what we require from each other, lets try to incorporate as much of that as possible and learn from each other. I'm not (only) speaking about Fresco and Syllable, but more about the complete free software scene. PS: I know of two or three projects working on a new OS that have a statement about wanting to use Fresco on their webpages. And I know at least two or three OSes that I'd like to run Fresco on some day;-) - -- Gruss, Tobias - ------------------------------------------------------------ Tobias Hunger The box said: 'Windows 95 or better' [email protected] So I installed Linux. - ------------------------------------------------------------ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9iP7tv0FZW3NyoqURAgZtAJ9Dzj9p0Z42quDPBhoZWIXFYaNeogCgrQWP 6i6+TKfyXAqVs15c/PFDphA= =BIgd -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
