Maybe -- see http://issues.fresco.org/bug57 for a bit of discussion.
The worst thing about your spacing was that you were using tabs, IIRC,
but I don't recall exactly what your patch did.  Perhaps you can post
your patch there as an attachment, along with some description of what
exactly it does?

What you need to do create a task:
  -- get an account in the issue tracker: these can be had just by
     clicking the "register" link on the left of every page.
  -- convince Stefan that you qualify for "developer" permissions
or, alternatively:
  -- convince someone who already has developer permissions to create
     the task for you :-)
