I changed some const static into static (just look at the unresolved 
reference and change it in the corresponding file)
I just posted this step by step but then my computer crashed and I'm too 
lazy to do it again since I tried compiling 0.4.9pre1 on msys and this 
one links fine (gives warnings though). Also does the latest cvs-snapshot.
