really?  last i saw it blocked new $subject threads and only permitted
replies to existing threads.

and screws up threading when $subject changes.

very much not _entirely_ in mailing-list mode.

plus you still have to screw around with tortuous ecmascript to subscribe.

now if they have fixed those fatal flaws, ....

but otherwise the change is harm w/o value.
