I did look into this a bit, did some Google searchs on simulating
user-activated window resize or movement. It probably is doable, but
when is another matter. I might do it in a few weeks, in which case it
probably will be in GTK 2.2.2. (No, I don't know what plans there are
when to release that.) Please do open a bug report on
bugzilla.gnome.org so that this issue won't be forgotten, and attach
your sample program to it.
