Hi,
I haven't exactly done it from a CD but from a shared network harddrive. 
I.e. there were no installations on the client PC required. Copy GTK's 
lib/ and etc/ directory structures, all together about 26 MB, definely 
fits on a CD ;) Put the executable in the lib/ directory. You will not 
have to write any installers or mess with the environment variables.

It is LGPL afaIk.
