GtkFontSelectionDialog crashes for some ttf

I don't think it's the name that's a problem. I have a font with the
file name gili____.ttf that works fine.

Win2k's Explorer says "The requested file ... was not a valid font
file?" (This when trying to open it as a non-administrator user; maybe
I need to try to install it as Administrator first? Once I've done
that, I'll try again.)
