Hint: I wrote the installer and uninstaller, so I have a pretty good idea
what I'm talking about.
The only things put in Windows registry are the uninstall information,
application path and file associations. The uninstallers cleans up all
these entries on uninstall, and since they're static, they will be removed
even if you install GIMP, then delete it's install directory, then install
it again and uninstall it. If it doesn't, that's a bug, and I'd like to
know how to reproduce it.
