If we're looking at the same page....

There's a shaded box with Downloads:30.........  and under it to the right
is "Download file" in small print, Click that, I did and it just downloaded,
ie was 29 before me.  Now Where do I put it for Gimp Help
to know it's there?

Did you right-click and select the "save link as"? Not to belabor the
point, but when I have the cursor over the underlined filename, i.e.
"gimp-help-2.4-en.pdf" and right-click in that spot, a menu opens to
select the spot for saving, and then the download commences.

If I CLICK that link, it does double-back.

Good luck. I found two different ways to get there, one from source code
and one from the right-click trick. Maybe someone else has yet another
trick up a sleeve.

Thanks for the Ubuntu encouragement.
