Whilst I was googling 16bit gimp cinepain etc I happened upon this,
dont know if it might be of interest to you (and me!) :
"Krita supports many managed colorspaces, like rgb, grayscale, cmyk,
lab, ycbcr and lms, in 8 and 16 bits per channel. Some colorspaces
even support 32 bits per channe"
a bit off-topic for a Win forum cos it is a KOffice for KDE thing,
BUT, it may be worth keeping an eye on as they are working on a
windows version of Kword,,, so,,,, fingers etc xxed :)

Aside: hmmm, is it me or is Yahoo having a nervous breakdown !?, I
posted a previous reply to Len about 45min ago and it has not yet
shown up :(
