Gimp Crash...after closed

Exactly this happens with gimp 2.4.4 on windows XP
Sound weird but happens,when after saved works you close gimp 2.4.4
everything seems fine...BUT immediatly after come a MS error messages
about "gimp exe crashed" (standard MS error message was a fatal error
in gimp exe and process was terminated..do you want to report to MS'"
Imagine are saved as supposed but often they can't be found, when
reopenig in "open recent imagines
Seems not a critical bug (well Gimp crashes AFTER closed) but give a
very bad impression and some worries to windows user.
About how to replicate..well it ALWAYS happens on my PC anytime i
close gimp on Gimptalk forum i noticed some other messages
complaining for same problem
