Please join us in celebrating GraphicsMagick's 10th Anniversary. Depending on how one evaluates it, GraphicsMagick came to be on November 19th, 2002, but it certainly came to be on December 6, 2002 when the 'gm' utility was introduced and the software became as it is today. GraphicsMagick emerged due to a desire for a "stable" form of ImageMagick with a stable code base, an accurate change-log, stable API, carefully-managed ABI, diminishing bugs, and acknowledgment for all contributors and all relevant copyrights and licenses. GraphicsMagick has continued to adhere to its original mission statement which may be read at "http://www.graphicsmagick.org/mission.html". GraphicsMagick continues to survive and evolve based on its volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome. I am looking forward to the next ten years.
