GraphicsMagick 1.1 is getting very long in the tooth, but enough bug
fixes have been applied for there to be a 1.1.7 release. As usual,
1.1.7 should be completely compatible with previous 1.1.X releases.
The source packages are already available on the ftp site at
ftp://ftp.graphicsmagick.org/pub/GraphicsMagick/ and Windows binaries
should appear in a day or two. A broader announcement will be posted
when the Windows binaries become available.

Since the 1.1 release, all new features and many more bug fixes have
been put into the development 1.2 code-base and do not appear in
1.1.7.

The following fixes/improvements are in 1.1.7 as compared with the
1.1.6 release:

   Security Fixes:
o Updated zlib to version 1.2.3 (1.2.2 has a security flaw).

   Bugs fixed:
o Fixed double-free problem while displaying an image with X.org
server noted under FreeBSD 5.4 and heard about under Linux with X.org.
o Fixed buffer over-run in readdir() which only occurs under
     Microsoft Windows.
o Memory leak fixes for GIF and SVG.
o Fix for an infinite loop bug in the XWD reader.
o Properly DLL-export DispatchImage and PopImagePixels.

   Updates:
o Zlib is updated to version 1.2.3.
o Libpng is updated to version 1.2.8.
