InitializeMagick() requirement

It has always been strongly recommended to invoke InitializeMagick() prior to using any GraphicsMagick functions. For the next release, GraphicsMagick functions won't work at all unless InitializeMagick() has already been invoked. Please make sure that your dependent programs are invoking InitializeMagick() as part of their initialization. Responsible programs will also invoke DestroyMagick() before they quit.
