When trying to set a primitive:
    imgstruct->drawinfo->primitive="text 200,200 abcdefg";
    DrawImage(imgstruct->image, imgstruct->drawinfo);  /* <--- fails, segfault */

    imgstruct->drawinfo->primitive="text 200,200 abcdef"; /* <--- one less char to writeout */
    DrawImage(imgstruct->image, imgstruct->drawinfo); /* <--- works fine */

What have I run into?
