The syntax supported by the included files is identical to the parent. 
The include is handled via recursion so that it is parsed by the same 
function.

For the case of the log.mgk file, the syntax is trivial and does not 
require an XML editor to produce.

I just pushed a changeset with C API documentation improvements, 
including for the log functionality, and rendering.
