I am not sure why Debian/Ubtuntu sticks with it. Sticking with=20= > it is almost criminal. FTR: We don't. Debian ships with 1.3.16 in its current stable release. = 1.3.12 was used in the now obsolete Debian "squeeze". For the upcoming = Debian release, Laszlo Boszormenyi will take over maintenance of the = graphicsmagick package. He's currently working on 1.3.18. As for Ubuntu, they have taken over the 1.3.16 packages in their latest = releases as well, but 12.04 is still current for them in a sense because = it was a special release with long-term support. It carries an ancient = version because I sync'ed my uploads to Debian's but not Ubuntu's = release schedules.
